Tracfone 440g Lg Flip Phone

Hi, Can you tell me how to turn off the voice message that comes on when I open a text message. It asks if I want to hear the message and you have to say "yes" or "no" and I can't seem to turn it off as I don't want the voice message as I can just read it. It's a tracfone LG 440G model. Thank you.
