I Have An Lg840g Trac Phone Can't Get It Activated. I Was Sent Another Sim.

I want to use my same Net 10 phone number. Tech service tried 3 times to activate, no success. It is hard to understand what they want me to do. I think one thing was to let my phone on for an hour and turn it off then turn it on. My phone shuts off after a short period of time and therefore I can't do what they want. i have tried to wait and turn it on and turn it off and then on and when I try to make a call I get an error number. Like 34 or something like that.
