I Need To Override Xstudio Limitations On Usb In For A Lg60py/pb Model Tv

I want to use my older Plasma TV connected directly to my NAS through USB and play mkv/mp4 files etc. The problem is XSTUDIO limits input functions to usb flash drives only with limited codex support. Anyone had any luck overriding this?
