External Speakers
I have a pair of amplified speakers for my TV. They connect via the red/white jacks.... Worked fine on my old TV, but just get a humming noise with the Insignia

Double check that your rca plugs are fully inserted into the composite audio jacks. Since you didn't provide the speaker type or model, you may be able to upgrade your audio by using the hdmi port or the optical audio connection.
