Huawei Ascend Y350

I hope someone can help... I bought a brand new Huawei Ascend Y350 yesterday since my most recent phone's screen had problems, and it was cheaper for me to get a new budget pay-as-you-go phone. Ever since I got home and tried to use it, I can't because the keyboard seems to be non-existent. There appears to be an app that says "google keyboard", but whenever I click.. It loads the header for one second and shuts off and no keyboard ia available after that either. With it's name being "google" keyboard, I thought maybe I'd have to be on the internet to install it the first time? But I can't log on to the internet without being able to type in a password... So I thought maybe I would have to wait until they activate it? But they haven't yet... Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this or if it might be faulty and I should just take it back??

Go to pages 27-28 for the android keyboard settings. If by following these instructions it still will not function properly, I suggest you return it.
