Hitachi 50v720. Comes On, Red Lights Flash And It Goes Off.

We have a Hitachi 50V720. Comes on for a couple of minutes, red lights flash and it goes off. After several minutes you can turn it back on and the process repeats. Cooling fan seems to be running OK. Is this how the bulb acts when its going out?
