When trying to install a printer,

Connect the printer up to the pc/laptop, then before you turn the printer s in , and let it start to install. At a certain point it will ask for the printer (search for it). When it does, then turn printer on, and wait-- it will then install correctly. Windows might say its found new hardware, just tick ok and let it run. Usually you need to restart your computer after the installation is complete, so that the drivers install correctly.
