No Response From Deskjet

It's plugged in and lit up. The usb port is hooked up, but won't print test sheet. Tried uninstalling program and reinstalling. Now, it says installation is not complete. What can I try now?

Trying reinstalling the software as it sounds like it did not reinstall successfully. Also, unplug the USB connection for the printer from the back of the PC and try another USB port. It may just not be picking up the USB connection.
