'non-system Disk Error' What Does This Mean?

One of 2 things.

The hard drive in you laptop/Pc has failed. Or if your drive is OK (check whether it is still visble in the bios)then the system has been corrupted on the drive. If you have your files backed up then you can attempt a rebuild which will re-install the OS but erase all your data that was on the drive. There are other ways to recover data if the drive has just lost its boot information but that would require the assistance of a software engineer.
