Cannot Send A Fax.on My 640 Unit.
I cannot send a fax on the unit . I don't have a dial tone on the hand set. The unlt in a direct connect to my phone jack. everything i connect to that phone jack works fine. I tryed another phone cord with no success.

If the problem is just with one fax number to which you're sending, the problem is almost certainly with the line at that end, and if so there's nothing you can do at your end. If you're given an error code number, find that number at this HP page and follow the instructions. Otherwise if your problem persists turn to the section of the referenced HP page beginning with the 4-word paragraph, "Check the following items."
