my Q1000 Gigabyte does it have a modem and what do
I need to do to make my 3G card work with it.

Greetings - A 3G card is an alternative af USB modems, Wifi, WLAN, LAN and all other internet gears, not a their contempary - It is suppose to work on it own (independed of other network gadget like modems). A 3G card uses a network sim card which needs to be recharged. If data bundles are already loaded, all you have to do is to plug it onto your laptop and try to connect to the internet. Hope this helps.
