Which Step Should We Take If The Scanner Is Giving Lot Of Noise?

While scanning a document an irritating noise comes out of the scanner and the scanner stops sacnning.

It probably has a belt/drive problem. The belt has teeth that wear and the drive gear can work loose. You should be able to see what is wrong just by looking inside the unit with the lid up on scan (just don't look in the light).
