My Frigidaire Dryer Catches And Twists Our Clothes, Too. For Years Now. Ruins!
We have had this dryer for 5 to 7 years. It has ruined bras, new shirts with strings attached, just about anything, including underwear and so on. They get twisted, hung up in the drum....It just happened with a new top of my daughters. It took the string that had a ball on each end, grabbed the ball in the drum and twisted it til it broke off. In all the years of having dryers, I have never had this problem before. It is so annoying.

Contact Frigidaire and ask if your unit has a felt drum glide kit that is available for it. This is a felt piece of material that is thick that is meant to close any gaps between the door and door seal and the tub itself. That is where most clothing gets caught and ripped. Also as a home remedy I used on my own machines for something similar -- I put my hand in a pair of old panty hose (socks are too thick), run your hand along any part you can find in the drum, around the door, etc. Wherever the panty hose snags or even rips, take a low grade sandpaper you might have around the house and lightly sand those areas. Then clean the area before you use the machine. This is often what field technicians do to avoid high repair costs, and if you are outside of warranty.
