Can Frigidaire Fex831fs2 Stackable Washer Dryer Be Transported Short Distances O

Can the frigidaire fex831fs2 stackable washer/dryer be transported short distances on it's side. The manual says to lay the unit on it's left side during removal of packing screw and foam transport bottom.

It would be ok, however I would transport it on its back or standing upright. If that's not an option, then go ahead, just be gentle and don't drop it down hard as to bend the cabinet and frame.
