Updated To Windows 10, Now Printer Won't Work

I've uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, also went to the net to get Windows 10 updates. Can't scan or print

It appears there is not yet a Win10 driver for your printer. You can however easily revert to Win7 or Win8. See http://www.pcworld.com/article/2960692/windows/how-to-uninstall-windows-10-and-go-back-to-windows-7-or-8.html#tk.nl_pwr.

Hi, one of my users has a CX4400 and was having similar issues. The printer sort of worked, but by default, Windows 10 (upgraded in place from Win7) was using a standard driver, instead of the custom one that includes the Epson Status Monitor program. As such there were no error messages displayed when there was any kind of problem, and no way to check the ink levels, clean the heads, or any other task unless it could be done through the printer's buttons.

To fix this, open Windows' "Devices and Printers" window, right-click the printer, and open "Printer Properties". On the tab called Advanced, there should be a listbox called "Driver:", and for me the one selected was "Epson ESC/P Standard 3 V4 Class Driver". The custom driver (assuming you have one installed) should be further down the list - in my case, titled "Epson Stylus CX4400 Series". This should enable the old style settings and print monitor.

Epson does have the Win10 drivers and they DO work however not on every PC for some odd reason. My wifes HP Pavillion laptop upgraded to Win10 worked fine from Windows 7 and didn't require any driver upgrades for the printer to work just like in Win 7. My Sony Vaio laptop however, refuses to print anything even though it sees the printer and gives no errors. It just gets stuck in queue. I had to revert back to Win 7 to get the printer to work. I suspect I may have to do a clean install of Win 10 to get it work. Epson has been no help.
