Help Diagnosing Poor Output Quality
My printer produces pages with blank vertical lines running from top to bottom of the page. Each blank line is about 1/8 inch and the parallel lines are about 1 inch apart.
Also, the uniform dark background of the original document is reproduced repeating vertical bars of uniformly varying intensity (dark-lighter-blank vertical line-lighter-dark).
This document is printed in landscape mode, do what is vertical on the document is really horizontal with respect to the direction of the movement of the print head across the page.
Please tell me how to eliminate this.

3 Install ink cartridges
Note: Don't load paper before installing the ink cartridges.
1 Lift up the printer cover.
2 Open the cartridge cover.
3 Shake the ink cartridges gently 4 or 5 times, then unpack them.
4 Remove only the yellow tape from the cartridges.
5 Insert the cartridges in the holder for each cartridge. Caution: Don't remove any other seals from each color.
