V715w Will Not Print Wirelessly W/green Symbol

I cannot print from my Windows 7 Desktop unless I hook up the USB cable. The docs go into cue, but that is it. When I use my Vista laptop, I often get a "priunter busy" bubble. After turning off the printer and starting it up again, I can sometimes print from the laptop. Wireless internet using the desktop is good, so that is not the problem. It appears that the netwrok is having trouble communicating with the printer. This happened after one of my kids changed black ink and did not set it in the slot completely. I now have black ink sprayed over the inside of the printer. Is it a "gone-er?"
