Greetings Fishecomme !

You can tell the differnce by looking at the motherboard part number inside your case.

740 small form factor motherboard part number: RY469

740 desktop motherboard part number: PY127

740 mini tower motherboard part number: UT225

740 enhanced small form factor motherboard part number: YP693

740 enhanced desktop motherboard part number: YP696

740 enhanced mini tower motherboard part number: YP806

Also, another easy way. If your system came with Phenom Triple-Core or Quad-Core, it will be an 'enhanced' 740.

Please note that the enhanced 740 also supported processors from the non enhanced. So it's totally possible for a 740 to be enhanced but not come with a triple or quadcore processor.
