Hi Robertsort,

I would suggest you to run the Pre-boot system assessment test to check the Hardware functionality.

To run the test, hold down the FN key while you switch on the computer untill you see the test running on the screen:

You may refer to the Dell Article 266787 on http://dell.to/17EbZmU

http://dell.to/17Z00Td

You may also watch an online video on how to run the diagnostics from the system:

http://dell.to/1hhYPBX

If you are unable to see the color bars, then it may be an issue with the LCD screen. Would suggest you to connect an external monitor and check the display on the monitor screen.

If the color bars are displayed, then there is no issue with the LCD.

Let the test run and please let me know if you get any error message.

You may also refer to the link for No Display issue:

http://dell.to/17Segiq

You may refer to the Dell Article 266826 on http://dell.to/17EbZmU

Please respond for further assistance.

Thanks & Regards
Rathish C

hello: . Try to Unplug the power, remove the battery and then hold the power button for 30 to 60 seconds. Then reattach the power and attempt a boot. It worked for me! Just shutdown, put the battery back in you're good to go. Worked for me so definitely worth a try. OR Try this 1) When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to get "Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep tapping the F8 key) 2) Select the option "Last Known Good Configuration". If the problem still exists then follow the step 1 and this time select the option "Safe Mode". Check if you are able to boot into Safe Mode.
