Inspiron 5110 Won't Turn On. No Power Supply Indicator On Laptop.

I have swapped battery and power supply.  They work fine on other laptops, but none work on this one. I noticed power supply indicator on the laptop does not turn on when the power supply is plugged into the laptop. The green led on the power supply always stays lit.  The other pecularity is that after going through the process of holding the power button down, with battery and power supply remove, when restarting the power button lights up for two seconds then dies  like it has just a moment of power

The most common problem that causes this is that the part attached to the motherboard that sends the charge to the battery has become disconnected. Essentially, you can plug it in but, the charge goes nowhere.

When you plug the charger in, if you notice it is able to wiggle around at the plug, this is most likely the problem. This can be fixed if you have a soldering gun and some knowhow,. If not, you may want to take it somewhere to be repaired, however, buying a new laptop might be more cost effective at this point.
