Password Reset For My Router...wrt100 Rangeplus

few years ago, my wife bought a router but we have never used a password.  we just moved into an apartment and would like to secure the our network.  during the days, i only have my ipad and my wife uses the laptop at  work. how csn i secure our network and can it be done through ios  system (ie lpad 3)
