My Pixma Mg5420 Lack Ink Cartridges.

My Pixma MG5420 printer has 2 black ink cartridges and the smaller black ink (H251) is out. I went to the store and was given the wrong one so now I have even more of H250 black ink and none of the small H251. My question is with black ink in the cartridge (H250) why can't I print with that black ink? Is there any way to do this? Please help

CLI-251BK XL Black Ink Tank is the small black that prints under normal print settings the CLI-250 black is a photo grade ink used only when printing on photo paper. Go here for a visual cartridge change visual. Return the cli-250 (unless you print a lot of photo's) & get the cli-251 black.
