Canon Es190 Battery Won't Slide Into Charger

ES190 battery does not slide in charger. Seems that the charger gets narrower toward the terminals which keeps the battery from sliding in. This is the charger that came with the camera. I have looked for answers everywhere but nothing yet. HELP!

This is the user guide and it shows the battery going into the charger in a vertical position. It may be that you are attempting to slide the battery in which will give you a problem.
