In order to turn on the wireless, just press FN and F2 at the same time. You will notice a image of an antenna tower. If the wireless is disabled they will be a red circle with a slash.
You can also click on the white up arrow on the lower right and double click wireless console. There you will see the image again. You click on the icon to enable or disable.
