Instructions For Replacing A Vga Camera Cable Inside Touch Screen.
My VGA Camera cable was damaged by getting caught in the screen hinge. I cannot seem to find a source that specifically describes taking the screen apart on my ASUS TP500LA laptop. Other models seem to have a different disassembly method. I can get the screen apart on the sides and top of the screen, but the bottom, where the hinge is, won't separate - it looks like the screen is connected at the bottom to back and front of the screen. I don't want to force it and break my screen. Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you....Tim

Thank you for your helpful information, but the screen on my ASUS TP500LA does not swing open like the screen on the tutorial. The bottom by the hinges does not seem to separate so the screen can open fully. It opens a little so I can see the cable I need to replace, but I need to see if there is somehow the screen can open wide just like the model in the tutorial link. Does the TP-500LA screen open up wide so I can replace the cable?

On ifixit everything is given but not screen repair because these devices are not intended to made for screen repair the whole part needs to buy separately that''s why no guide was given how to open it etc.

ow to remove or reset Asus laptop bios password
- Boot while while pressing/holding F2 to get into the BIOS / UEFI.
- When the enter password window appears then press Alt + r or Alt Gr +r.
- "Enter rescue password" window will appear, with YYYY-MM-DD.
- Now take a note of that date and go to www.biosbug.com and enter it to search field and there you go.
