Sd Slot On Avi-w910 And Can We Play Movies With It?

Can I play movies on the INA-W910 via SD card? I noticed that there is a SD slot on the player and it would be nice to put our movies on a sd card in avi or mp4 format but I don't know how to get it to work? What is the sd slot for and how do we use it?

I partly have the answer, and I can state that the imformation given above is incorrect. You can stored other files on an SD Card and play them back on the INA-W910, the only trouble is the formats of those files. When you select the "source" you can select the SD Card from there, so the information given that you cannot use it is simply incorrect.

I've copied a bunch of different video files to an SD Card and so far the only format that the unit will recognise is AVI. However, the AVI files I've tried so far only allow me to hear the audio track from the file but I can't see the video. I'm assuming that is because the AVI files I have may be in a resolution which is incomatible with the screen. I'm going to try a few more files and see what I can get. Unfortunately Alpine provide almost no information on this part of the unit, which I think is really poor for something which is supposed to be a top of the range item.

No the slot is only for updates u load on the sd card from the internet
