Connection With A Different Head Unit
can a alpine cde-163bt base be connected to a different head unit. If so, which one would connect and work?

The Alpine CDE-163BT base cannot be connected to a different head unit. It is a standalone unit that does not have any output ports for connecting to another head unit.
If you want to connect the Alpine CDE-163BT to a different stereo system, you will need to use an external amplifier. The amplifier will take the signal from the Alpine CDE-163BT and amplify it to power the speakers in your stereo system.
