No Sound, Analog Output.
This board is in a testing station so no data is sacred. I just set it up from an old system I had laying around. I am just using a set of powered speakers for it because that's all I need. I am also using on-board video. I get no sound at all from the light green (or any) 3.5mm jack. I first had Windows 7 installed and installed all the drivers from AsRock with no luck. The drivers are there and report working. The "VU" meters are operating when a sound source is playing, just no audio.Then I decided to try Windows 10. I had never used it but the upgrade option was there so I thought, why not? Installed it without a hitch, but I have the same audio result. ASRock does not seem to have drivers for Windows 10, perhaps Microsoft's drivers are supposed to work.I did have this system briefly installed in another room and was getting sound from the optical out but have nothing nearby now to test this again.

Hi. While you can try running Windows Updates and observe, there is sadly no logical reason why th audio driver from the official manufacturer site should not work on the native Win 7 appart from that you must sadly have a failed audio IC. Also do test a different speaker set or headphones.
