A piece of junk
Brother and I each have this model and regret purchases. Trouble with ice maker. water dispenser and display panel on door. Water dispenser on mine would come on randomly by itself resulting in water on kitchen floor. Water leaks resulting in bottom freezer door becoming frozen shut. Turned off unit until door could be opened and found an inch thick sheet of ice in the bottom of refrigerator. Disconnected water after a few of these instances and have been without water and ice for about four years. If you must buy one, get extended warranty. There is a class action suit currently going on against Samsung and their junk refrigerators.

Spent $2800 on one of those fancy stainless steel 4-door refrigerators from Samsung (model: RF4287HARS). 2 months outside of the 12 month warranty and the display goes bad ... 2 months ... really? Samsung believes in their products so much that the only stand behind them for 12 months, really? $2800 buys me 12 months. It'll cost me $400 just to get it fixed. What a piece of junk. Find me a lawyer somewhere that can start a class action suit and sign me up.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator 8 months ago (model RF4287HARS) based on Consumer Report’s rating recommendation. However, just last week the automatic water dispenser stopped working properly, now we have to push this switch about 5-8 times in order to see the water flowing down.
I’m very disappointed with Samsung. I’ve spent so much money for such unreliable products. I said unreliable “products” because about a year ago I also bought a Samsung plasma TV, and about six months ago we started to see ghost images that would last for about 15 minutes.
My suggestion to future consumers is to stay away from Samsung products because they require a lot of repairs, and stick to well-established names even if you have to pay a bit more. I think is best to have a dependable product rather than one that is cheaper and unreliable.
