Use the Extenders in Access Point Mode You can use the extenders as WiFi access points, which creates new WiFi hotspots using a wired Ethernet connection. 1. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the Ethernet port on the extender to light green. Wait for the Power LED to a router Ethernet LAN port or a remote Ethernet LAN jack with LAN access.
