Firmly grasp the cable, and carefully pull it straight up the connector from side to side. Note: If needed, use your fingers to pry up until the connector releases. Figure 8 5. Make sure that the shield sits uniformly flat. 5. Tighten the RAM shield screws. Insert the RAM shield. (Figure 9) 4. Figure 9 iBook G4 Keyboard - 6 Installing the Replacement Keyboard 1. Firmly insert the keyboard cable connector into its connector cable. 2. Lay the replacement keyboard in the correct orientation over the keyboard opening, then flip it toward you and lay it face down on the palm rest to expose its connector on the shield and computer align and that the screw holes on the computer. 3.
