What kind of router should I use, G or N?

It really depends on what you will be doing. 802.11n is very new and not many systems use it yet. 802.11g is far more common. See this link for details: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/IEEE_802.11
I assume you're adding a wireless card since this PC does not come with wireless built in.
For cabled Ethernet you should be able to plug directly into your DSL or cable codem with adding a router or switch.
