How To Factory Reset Emachine Desktop El1331g

eMachines and gateway are made by Acer. They all do a restore the same way. If the computer has the original hard drive, there should be a "restore partition" on the disk. To access this partition, hit Alt and F10 together at start up. You may have to repeat this key combination several times to hit it at the right time in the start up. This should take you to the "recovery screen". You will have the choice of "Completely restore system to factory defaults" or "Restore Operating System and Retain User Data".
