Problems With Reloading Style Files Qy700

I'm a musician but new to the 700 & sequencing. Although I'm technical, the manual does not explain things very well. First problem was the sounds I inserted in a pattern, they played back different ones - eg, snare selected - triangle played back! Thinking a factory reset would sort it out, I then lost all the styles. Finding them on the Yamaha site I attempted to reload. This was great as they included some nice styles I had not seen before. I put them on a floppy and did a LOAD ALL DATA for each one. I then found that only the last style file was in the pattern list and the rest weren't there (overwritten?) Was I wrong in trying to get all the styles loaded? Problem is I'm fumbling in the dark with little information. I know there are a lot of experienced sequencer guys out there and I'm sure this problem looks dumb to them. I know the 700 is great bit of kit, which is why I bought it, but I don't think I'll ever get to understand how to work it. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks. Dick
