Use Of Subwoofer

Does the Yamaha HTR 3064 have a switch to enable a subwoofer. I just bought a Yamaha subwoofer and hooked it to my HTR 3064 with the single cord. I get no sound even tho the subwoofer is powered on. Do i have the wrong RCA cord or ist there a switch on the receiver to enable (hear) the subwoofer?
