Yamaha Dg60-112 Loud Noise

Our guitarist has a DG60-120 and at times during a performance the amp goes into a extremely loud buzzing distorted sound whether he is playing it or it is in standby. Even if the guitar is unplugged or the volume is turned down it doesn't stop. He has to turn the amp off for a few seconds and turn it back on. After that it might be okay for the rest of the night or not. I've gone through the self-test proceedure and adjusted the idling voltage to exactly 5mV. There doesn't appear to be any bad solder connections that I can see. I've stressed the circuit boards with a hair dryer to see if heat brings it on without any luck. It happens so sporadically that it's impossible to isolate the problem to a particular board or component. Has anyone had any luck with this problem?
