How Much Memory In Cvp509

I downloaded a Church Hymnal to a USB flash drive and attempted to install it in a Clavinova CVP509. Got message "Cannot proceed. Too many files in folder." The entire hymnal exists on an 8 Gig flash drive and the piano cannot contain it! Any idea of the memory size and can it be upgraded? How many files per folder are acceptable? I too had this problem... I was not able to "find" the answer anywhere, so, by deductive reasoning, I figured it out...

When you use SONG SELECT, and choose a FOLDER containing SONGS, you will notice that you have up to 8 PAGES (P1, P2, P3, P4... Next Screen is P5, P6, P7, P8), depending upon how many SONGS are in that particular FOLDER... well, I counted on my CVP-509 Screen that it displays 10 SONGS on each PAGE... so... I figured out that if I limited each FOLDER to 80 SONGS, I would be able to utilize all the PAGES P1 - P8... and... it worked!

Another tip... I alphabetized my favorite songs... I had 170 songs total, so I divided it into 3 FOLDERS, to stay within the 80 (or less) per FOLDER rule...

Also, regarding the "internal" memory of the CVP-509... it is not relevant, as you are using a Flash Stick... all of the content you are storing remains on the Flash Stick... it is the CVP-509's software programming designed to display 10 SONGS per PAGE, and 8 PAGES per FOLDER, that forces creative organizing!

Hope this helps you... Good luck with your 671-song hymnal... you will need to spread it over at least 9 FOLDERS! If all the songs fit on the 8GB Flash Stick, they will all still fit, even when divided into folders...
