My Old Email Address I Was Told Was Hacked And Closed. I Had Several Items Saved

I Have called and was told my old email address has been hacked and closed. I had a lot of things tied to that account. I was told more less...Not Yahoo's problem and going to charge me $50 and they couldn't restore or transfer stuff. I opened New account. Very frustrating. Help

This is a scam--one not perpetrated by Yahoo. Yahoo is not going to charge you to restore your account. The person or entity that hacked your account is using that circumstance to squeeze money from you. Furthermore, Yahoo does not offer phone help for non-paying users--so if, as you say, you called, you were not talking to Yahoo. Ignore what you were told, and instead follow Yahoo'w instructions at http://yhoo.it/22dFkDt.
