Is This Real

Dear Yahoo! User,   My name is Laura Patterson, Director of Recruiting at Yahoo!.  From time-to-time we reach out to active Yahoo! users for a unique partnership whereby you get to work with us directly.  As you may have noticed, we place advertisements on the right hand side within your Yahoo! account.  These ads are called “AdChoices by Google” banner ads.  Google approached us in order to gain feedback on the effectiveness of their ads within the Yahoo! system.  This is where you come in.   We started the Partner With Yahoo! Program™ which allows current and trusted Yahoo! members to give feedback on these ads and get paid while doing it.  For every ad shown to you, we will put an “Ad Feedback” link below it.  If you choose to partner with us, your primary job function is to simply review the advertisements within your own Yahoo! account and give us feedback on what you think about them.  If the ads don’t seem trustworthy, let us know via the feedback link.  If the ads are offensive to you, let us know via the feedback link.  Our system works on a rotation basis, meaning ads being shown to you now will be completely different after a few hours.  We have between 10 and 12 ad rotations a day, so there is plenty of opportunity to review new ads.   So, now that I outlined our offer to you I would like to discuss compensation.  When the Partner With Yahoo! Program™ first rolled out 6 months ago, it was on a volunteer basis.  Once we understood this would be a valuable service for everyone we started to compensate our participants.  Currently, we offer $200 per day for just a couple hours of work, or 1 full ad rotation (each rotation lasting just over 2 hours).  We don’t base our compensation on an hourly scale.  We base it upon how valuable your services are to us.  As such, each starting participant in this Program earns $200 minimum.  Depending on how effective your feedback is, we offer increases every month.  Currently we have members earning $300 to $400 per day after just 4 weeks.   The best part about our new Program is that you do not need to quit your current job.  Our Program allows you to work whenever you have free time on the computer.  Again, the average work day is just 2 hours for completing 1 ad rotation.  If you are in between ad rotations, that’s perfectly fine.  Our system detects when you start the feedback process and will notify you via email once you have completed a full rotation.  Our payments go out every week for the previous week’s work.   If the abovementioned interests you and you would like to learn more or even start tomorrow, you will need to download our FREE KIT.  This kit gives you access to the feedback tutorials, Program details and log-in access to our employee portal.  Although we don’t charge anything for this kit, we do require a small processing fee in order to securely forward the kit to you.  The fee is 100% refundable if you decide to join our Program…even if it’s just for one day.   From all of us at Yahoo!, we look forward to having you join our Partner With Yahoo! Program™.   Again, you can download the FREE KIT here.   Laura PattersonDirector of RecruitingYahoo!, Inc.

Does this sound too good to be true?  Then it probably is.  Did you check for details about the full header?

That Free Kit, isn't.  Small fee? If you do click the links and enter your credit card or even your PayPal account number, you might provide these apparent scamers a nice siphon.

Don't delet it yet. You can once again cut and paste this email at the box at the following Yahoo! site: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/spam.html You should get a response which will advise you if this is phishing or if it is real.

You can also call Yahoo customer service tech support 888-562-7219 and press 2 for a live person.  They should either guide you through some steps or transfer you.
