Is This Email Ligit? It Was Found In My Junk Mail

If I was you the first thing is do a full system scan then neve open an EMAIL that you do not know the sender there are so many scammers out there and when you open a suspect email you also rub the risk of infecting your computer 

Hotmail would neve send one like that

Some of the indicators that this email is not legitimate include:

  • Email address of the sender is a plain hotmail address
  • Poor grammar, capitalization, and spacing.
  • Asks for  too much personal information (Windows Live would not ask for your password, secret question, secret answer, and date of birth)

 

NEVER send info in an email with your password, account names, etc. if they need your info they will have you go to their site log in and send through an internal link.
