Whirpool Front Load Model Wfw9250ww00

My washer starts the cycle and I can see a lot of water going in to the tub.  It stops about 7 minutes into the cycle and the error code LF is displayed.  Looks like the tub is filled half way with water.  I have to power off the washer to drain.  what could this be?  Thanks,
