The Oven Shuts Off When Lower Cooking Temps Are Used

I have 30" Whirlpool Accubake gas range. Works fine when cooking at or above 350 degrees but shuts off heat when below that temp. Timer and cook settings are accurate, flames just shut off and gas can be smelled. I do turn it off then. I can get it to reflame but it'll eventually shut off again.
