18g1w016 Factory Error Code
I turned on my Westinghouse tv/dvd combo and received the following error code - 18G1W016 FACTORY (white letters in a blue box). I can not switch the mode from DVD to the TV using either the channel buttons or the 'TV' button. It seems stuck in this mode with this message. There is no dvd in the tv at present. There doesn't seem to be any info in the manual. Please help

I know this is kind of late since you posted this a long time ago but if you still need this message removed from your TV please email me to [email protected], please provide me the model # as well as the TW# located on the back of the TV and I will make that box go away.

If you don't mind not having use of your DVD player, here is what I did to fix this issue on my TV. Now it works great again, but without the use of the DVD player.
Unplug your TV, lay it flat with the back panel facing up, with a phillips screw driver, remove all the screws and lift off the back panel. On the back side of the DVD are two connectors, unplug both of them. This cuts the power supply to the DVD player. Before reinstalling the back panel, Plug your cable or Sat connection to the TV, Plug in the power cord and test your TV.
If this fix works for you as it did for me, you just saved hundreds in repair costs.
