Is the correct video input selected?
Doers anything happen when you turn the TV on? A brief flash, glow, anything, then a black screen?
This is typical of a defective power supply. The video portion fails but the rest works OK.
Unfortunately it will require a service shop for at a minimum a full diagnosis.
