Tv Screen Went Completely Black
Need help to diagnose either TV failure or complete failure of my Vizio TV. I was watching TV and heard a snap sound and then the TV screen went completely black. The remote control for this TV and/or the Direct TV remote could not turn the TV on or off. I could turn the TV off only by disconnecting the power cord. Then the TV light turned yellow and then turning the TV back on with the remote or with the buttons on the side would turn the light white, but still no screen images(completeley) black! I have another TV in the bedroom and it works fine and I moved it into the living room and it works with the Direct TV system(no problem). I originally purchased this TV at SAM's CLUB about 8-9 years ago and don't know if this TV is recoverable or if I need to look at buying a replacement? Thank you for you help & guidance. The problem with this TV could be with the power supply or the main board itself. You should visit a technician for service assistance service. The model have been discontinued by the manufacturer' finding replacement parts may not be simple.
