No Connection With The Internet

We have a Uniden Guardian G766 that is not displaying the globe on the screen and is not connecting to the internet. The battery icon shows a full charge and we have the receiver attached to the Ethernet and AC power. Could it be the battery anyway? Any other ideas on how to connect to the internet? Also the connection to the cradle is suspicious. It sort of rocks side to side instead of being firmly seated. Is it a goner? Eugenia Dowlin
