Unable To Keep A Charge

Why won't my phone keep a charge? I just purchased a $26 battery and it still won't stay charged. What can I do?

If you bought a oem battery pack Uniden BT-1015 & it still will not charge there must be a problem with the charger: Uniden PS-0009 AC adapter.
