Why Do You Charge $150 For A System Recovery Replacement Disk For This Computer?

Note that we're an independent help site not affiliated with Toshiba. The answer, as you might suspect, is that Toshiba charges what it feels is in its best interest. Toshiba, as you know, is an enterprise whose essential function is to optimize its profits. If competitors charge less, it's because they've come to different conclusions regarding their fee structures.
Phoning Toshiba's customer service would be a waste of your time, as the customer service reps do not address or consider policy questions, You may however want to address your concern to Toshiba corporate. If so, here's the contact information:
