No Sound No Picture On My 32' Toshiba Tv With Two Tuners

I have power The power light is on. There is no sound no picture on my 32" Toshiba TV with two tuners I checked all cables.   I tired playing the VCR   The picture and sound may come on after a few minutes but most of time it don’t come on. But then it don’t always want to stay on. When on everything is good.   I pull the power cord out for 5 -10 minutes and over night it didn't help.   The TV is about 8 years old. Can you help me? Thank you John
