The channel the TV needs to be on in order to receive a signal from the receiver depends on the type of equipment you have and the cable being used connecting from the receiver to the TV. If there is a DISH receiver at this TV location and it is an SD receiver the TV may need to be on channel 3 in order to receive a pic or Video Input if you are using RCA cables to connect receiver to TV. If there is an HD receiver connected to the TV, the TV must be on HDMI input in order to receive a picture. If your TV does not have a receiver in the same room it means that it is TThe channel the TV needs to be on in order to receiver signal from the receiver depends on the type of equipment you have and the cable being used connecting from the receiver to the T.v. If there is a DISH receiver at this TV location and it is an SD receiver the Tv may need to be on channel 3 in order to receive a pic or Video Input if you are using RCA cables to connect receiver to TV.
